Digital Rights – DMCA

Welcome to zodo.me (the “Site”). Zodo respects the intellectual property of others and expects the same respect for its own rights.

Copyright owners and their authorized representatives may submit infringement notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512(c). Zodo seeks the protections available to qualifying service providers under the DMCA’s safe-harbor provisions.

To submit a good-faith infringement claim, provide the information described below.

Notice of Infringement – Claim

  1. Include the copyright owner’s physical signature and, if applicable, the signature of the representative authorized to act for that owner.
  2. Identify the copyrighted work that you believe has been infringed.
  3. Identify the material you want removed and provide enough information for Zodo to locate it. Include the URL of the page containing the material.
  4. Provide sufficient contact information, including your name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number.
  5. State your good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. Confirm that the notice is accurate and state, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the allegedly infringed copyright.

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), a person who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in an infringement notification may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees.

Submit takedown notices through our Contact Us page. Email is recommended for prompt attention.

Counter Notification – Restoration of Material

If your material was removed following a copyright complaint, you may submit a written counter notification to our DMCA Agent requesting its restoration. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), your counter notification must include substantially the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the removed material and the location where it appeared before removal or access was disabled.
  3. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith that the removal or disabling of access resulted from a mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number. Include a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address. If you are outside the United States, consent to the jurisdiction of a federal district court where the service provider may be found. Also state that you will accept service of process from the party that submitted the original infringement notification or that party’s agent.
  5. Submit your counter notification through our Contact Us page. Email is recommended.

Repeat Infringer Policy

Zodo takes copyright infringement seriously. To support our repeat-infringer policy under the DMCA, we keep records of copyright notices and make good-faith efforts to identify repeat infringements. Accounts that violate our internal repeat-infringer policy will be terminated.
