3. Information You Provide
Account and Contact Information
When you create, maintain, or use a Zodo account, you may provide:

- Your email address.
- Your phone number.
- Your mailing or residential address.
- Your username, nickname, or display name.
- Your password or other account-authentication information.
- Your date of birth.
- Your time of birth (optional, premium memberships only).
- Your subscription or membership selection.
Profile and Preference Information
To create your profile and identify potential connections, you may provide:
- Your biography or profile description.
- Your photographs.
- Your sex.
- Your pronouns.
- Your partner preferences.
- Your exact height.
- Your preferred height range.
- Your preferred age range.
- Other preferences requested through the Zodo profile or matching process.
Zodo may calculate information such as your age and zodiac sign from your date of birth.
Your exact height may be used by Zodo’s matching process. Other users are shown a broader height range rather than your exact submitted height.
Communications
When you communicate through Zodo, we process information necessary to provide and maintain those communications, including:
- Messages sent through Zodo Chat.
- The accounts participating in a conversation.
- The date and time of a message.
- Connection and chat-channel information.
Reports and Account Concerns
If you submit a report or other account concern, Zodo may process:
- The accounts involved.
- The reason selected or explanation provided.
- Relevant profile, connection, and chat information available to Zodo.
- Screenshots or other supporting information you choose to provide.
- Records of actions taken in response to the submission.
4. Information Collected When You Use Zodo
Account and Service Activity
Zodo creates and maintains information about how your account uses the service, including:
- Potential connections shown to you.
- Match and pass activity.
- Connection status.
- Chat status and activity.
- Unmatch, Quiet, Block, and Report activity.
- Subscription level and account limits.
- Profile-completion and account-status information.
- Dates and times associated with account activity.
Device and Technical Information
When you access Zodo, our website, server, chat system, or supporting infrastructure may automatically receive limited technical information, including:
- Your Internet Protocol address.
- Browser type and version.
- Device type.
- Operating system.
- Pages or functions requested.
- Date and time of access.
- Security, diagnostic, and error information.
IP address and related technical information may also be processed through Zodo Chat as part of operating, securing, or maintaining the communication service.
Optional Geolocation
Zodo may request permission to access location information when a location-based function requires it.

- You must affirmatively grant permission through your browser, device, or application settings.
- You may deny or withdraw permission through those settings.
- Disabling location access may affect functions that depend on location information.
Zodo does not collect precise device location unless you choose to grant the applicable permission.

Zodo may use cookies or similar technologies where necessary to:
- Keep you signed in.
- Authenticate your account.
- Remember account or service settings.
- Protect accounts and prevent unauthorized use.
- Maintain website and service functionality.
- Diagnose technical problems.
You may control browser cookies through your browser settings. Refusing necessary cookies may prevent login or other account functions from operating correctly.
Zodo does not currently use behavioral advertising, cross-site advertising tracking, targeted-advertising cookies, Flash cookies, or remarketing technologies.
6. How Zodo Uses Information
Zodo may use personal information to:
- Create, authenticate, and manage your account.
- Create and display your profile.
- Calculate your age and zodiac sign.
- Apply your preferences and Zodo’s matching process.
- Display potential connections.
- Create and maintain connections between users.
- Provide Zodo Chat.
- Manage connection and chat status.
- Process Unmatch, Quiet, Block, and Report actions.
- Manage subscription status and account entitlements.
- Process or confirm payments and purchases.
- Send account, service, subscription, security, and administrative communications.
- Respond to account, privacy, technical, and support requests.
- Review reports and investigate suspected misuse.
- Protect user accounts and the operation of Zodo.
- Detect unauthorized, fraudulent, harmful, or unlawful activity.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, test, and improve the service.
- Comply with legal obligations and valid legal process.
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Zodo will not use personal information for a materially unrelated purpose without providing any notice or obtaining any consent required by law.
7. Information Visible Through Zodo
Some information must be displayed to other users for Zodo’s profile and connection features to operate.
Depending on your profile and the applicable Zodo feature, other users may see:
- Your first name or displayed profile name.
- Your photographs.
- Your biography.
- Your age.
- Your displayed height range.
- Your sex.
- Your zodiac sign.
- Other profile information you choose to make visible through Zodo.
Zodo displays a broader height range, such as 6’0″–6’4″, rather than your exact submitted height.
Users with whom you communicate can also see the messages you send to them through Zodo Chat.
Your private contact information, including your email address, phone number, mailing address, password, exact height, and complete date of birth, is not displayed as part of your ordinary Zodo profile.
8. Access to Personal Information
Zodo does not sell personal information and does not provide user information to unrelated third parties.
Access to information maintained by Zodo is limited to authorized Zodo personnel when access is reasonably necessary to:
- Operate or maintain the service.
- Respond to an account or privacy request.
- Address a technical issue.
- Review a report or account concern.
- Protect Zodo or its users.
- Comply with a legal obligation.
Zodo may also transmit limited information to the processors necessary to complete payments, purchases, or service communications as described below.
9. Payments and Purchases
Zodo may use the following providers to process payments or purchases:
- Stripe.
- Authorize.net through Zodo’s Stripe-supported payment configuration.
- Apple or another applicable application-store provider for in-app purchases.
Payment-card information entered directly into a payment processor or application store is processed by that provider under its own privacy policy. Zodo does not receive or store your complete payment-card number when the payment information is submitted directly to that provider.
Zodo may receive limited transaction information needed to manage your account, such as:
- The product or subscription selected.
- Transaction status.
- Purchase or renewal date.
- Transaction or subscription identifier.
- Information needed to activate, renew, or maintain account access.
10. Legal and Safety Disclosures
Zodo may preserve, use, or disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law.
- Respond to a court order, subpoena, or valid government request.
- Investigate suspected fraud, threats, exploitation, or unlawful activity.
- Protect the rights, safety, and security of Zodo, its users, or others.
- Enforce Zodo’s Terms of Service or other policies.
- Establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.
Zodo does not routinely provide user information to law enforcement or other government agencies without a valid legal or safety basis.
Zodo Does Not Sell Personal Information
Zodo does not sell user profiles, photographs, contact information, private messages, connection history, or report information.
Zodo does not currently use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or provide personal information to advertising networks.
11. Matching and Automated Processing
Zodo uses profile information, zodiac information, stated preferences, and the stated preferences of other users to identify and organize potential connections.
This processing may automatically determine:
- Which potential connections are available to you.
- The order in which potential connections are presented.
- Whether stated preferences are compatible.
- Whether a connection should be excluded because of a prior account action.
- Which account limits apply under your subscription.
A matching result does not guarantee identity, behavior, intentions, compatibility, or any particular outcome.
12. Data Retention
Zodo retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain account and transaction records, protect users, resolve requests, and satisfy legal or operational requirements.
Active Accounts
Account, profile, preference, connection, and subscription information may be retained while your account remains active.
Inactive or Fallow Accounts
Zodo may periodically identify accounts that have remained inactive or fallow for an extended period. Personal information associated with those accounts may be deleted or deidentified through regular account-maintenance processes, subject to any information Zodo must retain for legitimate operational, transaction, safety, or legal purposes.
Chat Records
Chat messages and related communication records may be retained for service operation, account administration, continuity, dispute resolution, report review, fraud prevention, safety, or legal purposes.
Chat records may remain for a period after an account is closed or personal account information is deleted. Where reasonably possible, information that directly identifies a deleted user may be removed, separated, or deidentified while necessary communication records are retained.
Account-Deletion Requests
After a verified deletion request, Zodo will delete or deidentify personal account information that is no longer reasonably required.
Limited information may remain where necessary to:
- Complete or document a transaction.
- Maintain financial or tax records.
- Protect against fraud or unauthorized activity.
- Preserve Block or Report restrictions.
- Investigate or document an account concern.
- Resolve a dispute.
- Comply with a legal obligation.
- Maintain temporary system backups.
Backup copies may remain until overwritten or deleted through Zodo’s ordinary backup-maintenance process.
13. Account and Personal Information Deletion
You may request deletion of your Zodo account and personal information through:
- Account portal: Log in, choose account, choose “Delete My Zodo Account”
Deleting the Zodo application from your device does not delete your Zodo account.
After a deletion request is received, Zodo may take reasonable steps to verify that the request was submitted by the account holder.
Once verified:
- Your account access will end.
- Your profile will no longer be available through the ordinary Zodo service.
- Personal information that is no longer required will be deleted or deidentified.
- Limited records may remain for the reasons described in the Data Retention section or per Zodo’s Data Retention policies.
A deletion request does not remove information another user has independently saved outside Zodo.
14. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Confirm whether Zodo processes personal information about you.
- Access certain personal information.
- Obtain a copy of eligible personal information.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Request deletion of personal information.
- Withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Request portability of eligible information.
- Appeal the denial of a privacy request where applicable.
- Submit a complaint to an appropriate privacy authority.
Zodo will not unlawfully discriminate against you because you exercise an applicable privacy right.

Zodo may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and protect your account before completing a request.
15. Data Security
Zodo uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
Access to information maintained by Zodo is limited according to operational need.
No online transmission, service, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your password and should notify Zodo if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
16. Adults Only
Zodo is strictly limited to adults who are at least 18 years old.
People under 18 may not create, access, or use a Zodo account.
Zodo does not knowingly permit minors to use the service. If we learn that a person under 18 has created an account or submitted personal information, Zodo may close the account and delete the information, subject to any limited retention reasonably necessary to document the issue, protect users, or comply with law.

Zodo may contain links to services operated independently from Zodo. Those services are responsible for their own privacy practices.

Zodo may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the service, our practices, legal requirements, or other circumstances.
When the policy changes, Zodo will update the effective date shown at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how personal information is used, Zodo will provide any additional notice or obtain any consent required by law.
