Manage Your Connections

Zodo gives you several ways to find and manage your connections: Match, Pass, Unmatch, Quiet, Block, and Report.

Each option serves a different purpose—from simply passing on a potential match to permanently ending contact. Choose the option that best fits the situation.

Find Potential Matches

Zodo uses zodiac compatibility, your preferences, and the stated preferences of other members to identify potential connections.

Select Spin to discover Zodo members who may be compatible with you. When a matching card appears, swipe down to add the person to your orbit or swipe up to pass for now.

Swipe Down: Add a Match

Swipe down when you are interested in connecting with someone.

Swiping down adds that person to your personal orbit. The number of matches you may add is based on your Zodo subscription and is typically calculated daily.

Once someone is in your orbit, you may be able to chat and interact with them, subject to the number of active chat slots included with your subscription.

If all your chat slots are already in use, you can Quiet an existing conversation to make room for another.

Swipe Up: Pass for Now

Swipe up when you are not interested in connecting with someone at this time.

Swiping up returns that person to the Zodo universe and temporarily removes them from your potential matches. It does not block, ban, or otherwise restrict either person.

You may swipe up as often as you like, unless you have reached the total number of matching cards available through your subscription or there are no additional potential matches to show.

Someone you passed on may appear in your matching cards again in the future—but not immediately. Whether and when that happens is determined by the Zodo matching process.

Unmatch a User

Use Unmatch when you have changed your mind about a connection but do not want to permanently block the person.

Unmatching someone:

  • Removes the person from your active chats.

  • Ends your current chat connection.

  • Frees that chat slot for another connection.

  • Deletes any existing chat history between you.

  • Does not permanently prevent you from matching again.

After you unmatch, that person may return to your potential matches and could appear in your matching card deck again. This may happen soon or sometime later, depending on the Zodo matching process.

Unmatching does not restore the match you previously used or add another match to your daily allowance. It simply helps you manage your current connections and Zodo experience.

Think of Unmatch as: “I’ve changed my mind—for now.”

If you never want to interact with the person again, use Block. If their behavior is suspicious, harmful, or unsafe, use Report.

Quiet a User

Use Quiet when you want to remove a conversation from your active chats without ending the connection.

Quieting someone:

  • Removes the person from one of your active chat slots.

  • Immediately frees that slot for another conversation.

  • Keeps the connection in place.

  • Does not block or report the person.

  • Can be reversed when you have an available chat slot.

How to Quiet Someone

  1. Open the conversation.

  2. Open the user’s profile.

  3. Select Quiet.

How to Unquiet Someone

Your quieted connections are listed below the chat area. Select Unquiet next to the person you want to return to your active chats.

If all your chat slots are currently in use, you will need to Quiet another conversation before restoring that person.

Quiet is for managing your conversations—not addressing a safety concern. If someone is harassing or threatening you, attempting fraud, or otherwise making you feel unsafe, use Report.

Block a User

Use Block when you permanently want to end chat contact with someone.

Blocking someone:

  • Permanently ends chat interaction between you and that person.

  • Immediately removes the conversation from your active chats.

  • Frees the chat slot for another connection.

  • Cannot be reversed.

You can block someone with whom you have an existing or previous chat or connection match.

How to Block Someone

  1. Open the conversation.

  2. Open the user’s profile.

  3. Select Block.

  4. Confirm your choice.

If you have not connected or chatted with someone and simply are not interested in matching with them, swipe up on their matching card instead.

Report a User

Use Report when you believe a profile or a person’s behavior may be suspicious, unsafe, harmful, fraudulent, or unlawful.

Reasons to report someone may include:

  • Threats, harassment, intimidation, or abusive behavior

  • Requests for money or suspected scams

  • Impersonation or a potentially fraudulent profile

  • Sexual misconduct or unwanted sexual content

  • Attempts to obtain sensitive personal or financial information

  • Behavior suggesting that someone may be in danger

  • Other suspicious, dangerous, or potentially criminal activity

Reporting someone:

  • Immediately ends further chat interaction between you and that person.

  • Removes the conversation from your active chats.

  • Frees the chat slot for another connection.

  • Cannot be reversed.

  • Sends an email alert to Zodo monitors for review.

How to Report Someone

From a conversation:

  1. Open the conversation.

  2. Open the user’s profile.

  3. Select Report.

From the matching card deck:

  1. Open the person’s matching card.

  2. Select Report.

You will be asked to confirm the report and provide a reason. Your Zodo account must have a valid email address before you can submit a report.

Please include accurate, relevant details. If it is safe to do so, preserve screenshots or other information that may be important before submitting your report.

What Happens After a Report?

Submitting a report alerts Zodo monitors and ends further chat interaction between you and the reported user.

Zodo may review the information associated with the report and decide whether additional account action is appropriate. Submitting a report does not guarantee a particular outcome.

Zodo does not provide updates about another member’s account, the review of a report, or any action that may or may not be taken.

Reports should be submitted honestly and in good faith. Use Report for behavior or safety concerns—not simply because you are no longer interested in someone or disagree with them. For those situations, use Swipe Up, Unmatch, or Block, depending on whether you want the separation to be temporary or permanent.

If You Are in Immediate Danger

Reporting someone to Zodo is not a substitute for contacting emergency services or law enforcement. Zodo does not make a police report on your behalf.

If you believe you are in immediate danger or that a crime has occurred, contact your local law-enforcement agency or call 911 in the United States.

If it is safe and appropriate to do so, preserve relevant messages, screenshots, profile information, and other evidence for the investigating agency.
